Miscarriage means abortion or failure. If such a situation arises in the judicial decision it means that there has been a breach of justice. This idiom, which came into use in the 19th century, is used to mean ‘ false judgment . “I was the victim of a miscarriage of justice” which means “I am the victim of false judgement”.
